v2 — Spectrum.

A full rebuild around three colors. New mechanic, new look, new content tier. The biggest update since launch.

New

  • Three-color dimension system. Cyan, magenta, yellow. Tap to shift. Same-color is real; off-color is a fade. The whole game pivots on this.
  • Powers from crystals. Four same-color crystals trigger the matching power: Hyperdrive (cyan, 5s), Shield (magenta, 6s), Magnet (yellow, 7s).
  • Prism Mode. Combo of ten in a single dimension flips the world rainbow for ten seconds — every color collectable, 10× score. The biggest single-run multiplier in the game.
  • Five modes. Endless (flagship), Daily Challenge (one shot, same biome worldwide), Time Trial (3:00 with escalating multiplier), Zen (no-fail), Practice (start at any score).
  • Pro Edition — $9.99 one-time. Ad-free, all four boosts unlocked immediately (Ghost Mode, Prism Clone, Time Fracture, Dimensional Maelstrom), and three premium biomes (Cyberpunk Tokyo, Deep Reef, Dragon's Hoard).
  • Twelve biomes. Nine free in the rotation; three more with Pro. Each cycles every 22 seconds with its own gradient sky, soundtrack layer, and signature hazard.
  • Daily-seed biome. A new biome features in the daily challenge each day, deterministic across all players.
  • Color-blind support is always on. Each dimension has a glyph (● ■ ▲) baked into every crystal, obstacle, HUD pip, and dimension badge.

Improved

  • UI rebuilt on a Spectrum design system — the prism gradient threads through every section header, button, and accent.
  • Hazard telegraphs tuned to a 0.5–1.5 second window before a hazard goes lethal. Skill expression over reflex spam — no cheap deaths.
  • Performance. 120 FPS on ProMotion devices, 60 FPS elsewhere. Drawcall budget cut roughly 40% vs v1.
  • iCloud sync coverage extended: save data, cosmetic selections, unlock state, and crystal balance now sync. Score on iPhone, brag on iPad.

Changed

  • Pro Edition replaces Remove Ads. Pro includes the ad-free perk plus four boosts and three premium biomes, for $9.99. Existing Remove Ads owners are honored — Pro perks transfer at no additional cost.
  • Cosmetic store paused. Skins are visible in the menu but are not for sale at this time. They'll return in a future update.
  • Boost copy clarified. Prism Clone is a one-hit extra life (not a phantom collector). Dimensional Maelstrom is a screen-clearing detonation (not a random dimension shift).

The original release. The mechanic that became the foundation for v2's three-color rebuild.

  • Initial App Store release on iOS.
  • Color shift mechanic introduced as the core gameplay verb.
  • Endless mode + Daily Challenge.
  • Multiple biomes with their own ambient soundtracks.
  • Game Center integration: leaderboards and achievements.
  • iCloud save sync (initially: scores only).
  • Remove Ads in-app purchase ($2.99) for ad-free runs.
  • Color-blind glyphs in HUD elements.

Late-v1 patches

  • Performance tuning for older A-series chips.
  • Audio mixing pass — biome layers no longer step on the crystal pitch chord.
  • Game Center sign-in stability fixes.
  • Various crash fixes around app-resume from background.

30-second instant taste of the core mechanic without an install. Scaffolded in the codebase; needs Xcode wiring before it can ship. Targeting v2.1.

Weekend Boost (1.5× crystal score on Sat/Sun) and Magnet Day (auto-magnet for the entire run on the 14th). Calendar-driven, no server needed — coming as a v2.x update.

Three rotating goals each day (combo target, biome streak, dimension-shift count). Crystal rewards toward future cosmetics.
